In these crazy times we live in, it takes extra effort to find adventure. That’s where our parks can come in handy. It’s much easier to social distance outside and luckily this time of year is perfect to get fresh air and enjoy Mother Nature’s beauty.
I was recently in the beautiful state of California, where parks are a plenty, so it took little effort to find incredible walking paths to get some exercise. My favorite hike was that at Wilder State Park which runs along the coast of Santa Cruz. It’s a breathtaking hike full of sheer cliffs and crashing waves. A spot where, if you are lucky, you may catch a sea lion sunbathing or diving for its food. My friends and I walked about 4 miles round trip and as the sun was setting, we were able to catch spectacular photographs of this magical place.
This is the time to go visit those National parks and monuments that you’ve always wanted to see. Since summer concerts and vacations have been postponed this year, take the time to explore places that didn’t seem exciting enough in the past. They won’t disappoint. We are very fortunate to have so many protected areas that are full of gorgeous scenery and majestic backdrops to create fantastic memories and family photo ops.
